Jaclyn Hill x Morphe

Hi beauties 💜 A few days ago, I received the new Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Cosmetics palette in the mail. I wanted to do a review for you all so that you knew my thoughts on the palette and if I agreed with all the buzz going around about it. I hope you enjoy.

I just wanted to start out by saying that there have been a lot of different reviews about this palette. When it was first previewed, I was beyond excited. I absolutely adore Jaclyn, and I think the Morphe shadows are some of the best on the market, especially for the low price. I continued to watch as more things came out about the palette, and finally the day came to purchase it. I sat at my computer for an hour waiting for the palette to launch, and I almost didn’t get it! Finally the payment went through, and I wished that online ordering was instant gratification, and it would come the next day (too bad it doesn’t work like that). The palette sold out in 45 minutes, and I know that they had a TON made so that it wouldn’t sell out that fast, even though it did. When people started receiving the palettes, there were very many mixed reviews. All of the beauty bloggers or youtubers that I watch raved about it and the pigmentation, whereas consumers were getting it and saying something completely different. I stood by Jaclyn and Morphe the whole time, but I will admit I was a little nervous that I was going to be disappointed in the actual product. Long story short, I don’t know if there were duds of the palette that some people were getting, but I am OBSESSED with this palette. Sure, a few of the shades aren’t as pigmented or as creamy as hoped, but the payoff of the whole palette is fantastic. I cannot wait to play with it more, and share more looks with all of you. 😊 Below are pictures of all the shades in the palette. There are 35 shades, and I did finger swatches of all of them, with and without flash.

* row 1 without and then with flash, from top to bottom – Enlight, Beam, Silk Creme,             M.F.E.O., Faint, Sissy, and Little Lady.

* row 2 without and then with flash, from top to bottom – Creamscicle, Butter, Pooter, Pukey, Hunts, Firework, and Queen.

* row 3 without and then with flash, from top to bottom – Obsessed, S.B.N., Hillster, Roxanne, Jacz, Buns, and Cranapple.

* Row 4 without and then with flash, from top to bottom – Royalty, Twerk, Hustle, Meeks, 24/7, Chip, and Mocha.

* Row 5 without and then with flash, from top to bottom – Pool Party, Jada, Diva, Enchanted, Central Park, Soda Pop, and Abyss.

As you can see, the shimmer shades are phenomenal. They are extremely pigmented and creamy. As for the mattes, some are a little chalky and aren’t as pigmented as I would prefer, but they are definitely buildable and still look amazing on the eyes. I highly recommend purchasing this palette, although it is sold out currently. It retails for $38, which is a bit higher than other Morphe Cosmetics palettes, but I do think that the price is worth it.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this, and please leave a like or a comment if you did. Expect many looks using this palette soon. 😘
