Makeup Revolution Lip Kit

Hi loves! I recently saw the Makeup Revolution Lip Kits at my local Ulta, and knew I had to give them a try. I personally have never tried the Kylie Lip Kits (I would love to though!) so I don’t have that to compare it to, but I have tried multiple brands of liquid lips so I can compare the formula to a few others.

The lip kit retails for $9.00 and you can purchase itΒ hereΒ at Ulta or on the Makeup Revolution websiteΒ here. I think that the price is very good, considering you get a creamy lip liner and matte liquid lipstick in the package. The color selection is average, but not that great. I chose a pinky-nude called Reign. I think it is a gorgeous color, but you definitely could not order these online because the color of the box is completely different than the actual shade inside.

Now for the actual formula – it’s just okay. The pigmentation is great, and you don’t have to use a lot of product to get good color with it. I really like the formula of the lip pencil, as it is very creamy and goes on really smooth. In this particular kit, the lip pencil matches the matte lip extremely well, but I did read a few reviews that said that in a couple of the shades, the lip pencils don’t match the liquid lip. When applying the liquid lip, the formula is nice. It takes a bit longer to dry than other liquid lips, and it does clump up a bit, but once it dries it is extremely sticky. It almost feels like you have a super sticky and thick lip gloss on. It is also very drying at the same time.

So all in all, if you’re looking for a cheap lip kit, this is the one for you. You basically get what you pay for with this, and while it is sticky, it is a decent formula for the price. I don’t personally think I would buy more, but I will definitely use this one again!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you all enjoyed this review, please leave a like & a comment if you did. 😊
